The NSW Water Ski Federation is the peak body for water skiing in New South Wales, dedicated to promoting and developing the sport at all levels. We represent the interests of water skiers across the state and oversee competitions through our active divisions: Wakeboard, Tournament, Disabled Water Skiing, Barefoot and Show Skiing.

As an affiliate of Waterski & Wakeboard Australia and the International Water Ski Federation, we are committed to growing the sport, supporting athletes, and ensuring world-class opportunities for skiers of all abilities.

Our Mission

At the NSW Water Ski Federation, we strive to:

  • Promote water skiing in NSW and across Australia, making the sport accessible to more people.
  • Develop talent by offering training programs, 'Come n Try' days, and pathways for aspiring water ski coaches.
  • Support competition at all levels, from local events to international representation in world championships.
  • Advocate for water skiers by working with government, commercial, and public stakeholders to enhance recognition and support for the sport.

Get Involved

Whether you're a beginner looking to try water skiing or an experienced athlete ready to take your skills to the next level, our divisions host regular competitions, training sessions, and 'Come n Try' days. These events are a great way to learn, meet fellow enthusiasts, and immerse yourself in the sport. Visit our Divisions page to find out more.

NSW Ski Gardens – Your Waterskiing Destination

We also own and manage the NSW Ski Gardens, a holiday park in Wisemans Ferry along the Hawkesbury River. With boat launching facilities, ski-friendly river frontage, picnic areas, and camping grounds, it's the perfect destination for water skiing enthusiasts to enjoy the sport in a scenic setting.

Coaching & Development

Aspiring water ski coaches can gain national accreditation through courses run by the NSW Water Ski Federation. These programs, endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission, cover essential coaching principles and water skiing techniques. To learn more, visit our Coaching & Training page.
