At Disabled Water Ski NSW, we are dedicated to creating inclusive sporting and social opportunities for people with disabilities - helping them to learn and develop their water skiing skills, with adaptive equipment. Skiers can then continue water skiing socially with us, their friends and family or they can compete.  Whether you're looking to learn, compete, or challenge yourself, we provide the support and resources to help you thrive on the water!

Inclusive & Competitive Skiing

We ensures that all athletes can compete at their own level, whether that's within dedicated disability categories or alongside able-bodied competitors. Most skiers participate in mainstream three-event tournaments, which include:

  • 🏆 Slalom - Navigating a course of buoys at increasing speeds
  • 🏆 Trick Skiing - Performing spins, flips, and other technical moves
  • 🏆 Jump Skiing - Taking flight off a ramp for maximum distance

Skiers can compete in state, national, and local competitions, with many states also hosting Come n' Try Days - perfect for beginners looking to experience the thrill of water skiing for the first time. We also provide coaching and advice on adaptive equipment to ensure every skier has the tools they need to succeed.

Representing Australia on the World Stage

Disabled Water Ski Australia proudly sends a national team to the World Disabled Water Ski Championships, held every two years. Athletes with a variety of disabilities, including vision impairment, limb amputation, paraplegia, and quadriplegia, may be eligible to compete, subject to classification and team size criteria.

Water Skiing is for Everyone!

At Disabled Water Ski NSW, we believe that water skiing is for everybody - and everybody can do it! Whether you're new to the sport or striving for world championship glory, we're here to help you every step of the way.

Join us today and experience the freedom, excitement, and community of water skiing!
